Drug names, brand names and provider names appear on this site wherever it is not possible to write a reference about a medication, or to compare providers, without naming them. Their use here is descriptive. It does not imply that any owner endorses, sponsors, reviews, or is affiliated with this site, and none of them does.

Generic and brand names
“Semaglutide” is a generic drug name and is not a trademark. It is the name of the active molecule, and it is the word this site uses when the sentence is about the drug rather than about a particular product. A brand name is a trademark owned by the manufacturer and names one specific approved product, so the two are not interchangeable: the same molecule is sold as an injection for weight management, as an injection for type 2 diabetes and as a tablet, under three different marks and three different labels, with dosing that differs between them.
Tirzepatide and orforglipron are likewise generic names. Where this site mentions a product containing one of them, it is naming somebody else’s approved product and the mark belongs to that manufacturer.
Compounded preparations are not the branded products
Where this site writes about compounded semaglutide, it means the active ingredient prepared by a compounding pharmacy. A compounded preparation is not WEGOVY, OZEMPIC or RYBELSUS, it is not made or sold by the holder of those marks, and it is not an FDA-approved product. It is a separate preparation containing the same active molecule, and the medical disclaimer says what that does and does not mean.
Seller, pharmacy and program names
Every seller, pharmacy, insurer, benefits manager and discount service named on this site owns its own name and its own logo. They are named on the cost page and on the 92 seller entries, and being written about here is not a license any of them granted us. It is coverage. It applies in the same way to companies that pay us and to companies that do not, and which is which is disclosed beside each link, every time the link appears. It is not a trademark license and it does not imply endorsement in either direction.
What that means in practice
- We are not the manufacturer. Nothing on this site is made, sold, shipped, prescribed or dispensed by us. If a page names a drug, it is describing somebody else’s product.
- We are not the seller. Every company written about here is a separate business, described from the outside, with no editorial control over what is published about it.
- Brand names identify products, nothing more. When a page says WEGOVY it means the specific approved product sold under that name, because a reference about a drug cannot be written without naming the products it comes as.
- No owner has reviewed anything here. Nothing published on this site has been reviewed, approved or endorsed by Novo Nordisk A/S, Eli Lilly and Company, or any other mark holder. What the pages report is what named documents say, and where they judge, the judgment is ours.
