The Semaglutide Report

Hims & Hers review

Two brands, one billing model

Hims and Hers offer closely related online weight-management services, with separate websites, apps and member communities. Their current semaglutide menus include branded Wegovy pills and pens. The practical comparison is the selected product plus the required membership, rather than a low medication headline on its own. The public pages reviewed use the same starting prices and membership structure, so there is no demonstrated price advantage to choosing one brand over the other.

Read the two charges together

Both brands advertise Wegovy pills from $149 per month and pens from $199 per month. These are medication-only starting figures, conditional on a prescription. Membership costs $39 for the first month and then renews at $149 monthly. The medication headline is therefore not the whole recurring bill. Confirm the price of your prescribed product and strength, any applicable charges and the separate membership payment; a starting price is not a quote for every dose or every later month.

Monthly headlines do not settle the commitment

The product FAQs say medication may be billed monthly or upfront depending on the selected plan. That makes the renewal interval and amount due today essential checks before enrolling. A monthly price should not be mistaken for a promise that only one month will be charged. Older promotions for prepaid compounded semaglutide should not be carried into this comparison. The company announced a shift toward branded medicines in March 2026, with compounded access limited to cases a provider considers clinically necessary.

How care and follow-up work

Joining begins with a health intake reviewed by a state-licensed provider. The product FAQs explain that some states may require a video or audio appointment; care is not universally questionnaire-only. Membership includes provider messaging, support with treatment changes and follow-up access. The membership page advertises monthly follow-ups, weight tracking and an optional smart scale. These features explain what the separate service fee buys, but advertised access should not be interpreted as a guaranteed immediate clinical response.

Check where the prescription is going

The terms name several dispensing partners, while also allowing some prescriptions to go through an outside pharmacy or manufacturer self-pay arrangement. That means the actual dispenser and billing contact should be confirmed for the chosen prescription. The general shipping help page lists a standard shipping charge and says injectable GLP-1 orders cannot go to PO boxes or General Delivery addresses. Neither brand promises nationwide availability for every GLP-1 product, so check your state before paying for membership.

Stopping medication and stopping membership are different

The cancellation guide allows members to turn off medication renewal, membership renewal or both through their account. Canceling only medication leaves membership charges running. Canceling membership also cancels associated medication plans. The terms say the first membership month is nonrefundable. Medication refunds are a separate question: the refund help page asks for changes at least 48 hours before the next payment and does not guarantee a refund after pharmacy processing. Keep the renewal date and cancellation confirmation. For readers comfortable with separate service and medication charges, the range of branded options is useful; the main budgeting risk is treating the medication headline as the whole recurring bill.
