Nova and Nova MD are different services

This review concerns Nova at its Texas-and-Florida service, operated by NovaCure LLC, rather than the similarly named Nova MD platform. Nova describes online intake, independent provider review, home delivery and app-based care-team messaging. The public footer limits current service to Texas and Florida. Confirm the business on the checkout and receipt so that prices or refund policies from the other brand are not accidentally applied to this account.

The membership headline is not a drug price

Nova advertises the first month of Nova Care for $29 with its stated code, followed by $50 a month. That pays for care access and is not the complete semaglutide cost. The product page says medication and membership contribute to the total, with medication varying by prescribed dose. Compare the combined continuing payment rather than the introductory membership figure. Ask what happens to both charges if medication is paused but the membership remains active.

Get one written total before paying

The semaglutide page shows a starting total of $152 a month, while its FAQ refers to $229 and says medication starts at $130 plus the $50 membership. Those figures do not reconcile into one dependable live quote. Ask for the actual formulation, prescribed supply, medication charge, membership charge and renewal total in writing. Avoid assuming the lowest displayed amount covers the same prescription as another figure on the page. A selected checkout quote is more useful than an unqualified starting headline.

Clinical review and care access

Nova describes provider review usually within one to two days, followed by pharmacy fulfillment if prescribed. The app supports messaging, order tracking and prescription management. These features describe how care is organized; they do not establish that every message receives an immediate reply. Before transferring, confirm how follow-up visits and refill checks are arranged, whether existing records are required and who to contact if clinical review prevents the next supply from shipping.

Membership and medication have different refund rules

The refund policy generally makes consultation and membership fees nonrefundable after clinical review, including when the clinician declines prescribing. It does not prorate a partly used membership period. Medication can be refunded if a written cancellation reaches the service before compounding starts; after that, returns and refunds are limited. Ask which stage the order has reached before requesting cancellation. Canceling future membership does not by itself establish that a pharmacy order already in production can be reversed.

Keep delivery records and verify the dispenser

The policy describes replacement or medication-cost refunds for specified pharmacy errors and damaged deliveries, with damage reports requested within seven days. It also allows certain full refunds before any clinical review when identity or service-area eligibility cannot be completed, subject to its 30-day request window. Retain order and shipment evidence. Nova describes licensed U.S. pharmacy partners; obtain the one actually assigned to your prescription. Compounded products are not FDA-approved branded semaglutide medicines.
