Nova MD is operated by JM Health Group LLC and connects patients with independent clinicians and pharmacies. It is distinct from the similarly named Nova service focused on Texas and Florida. The website describes an online assessment, medical review, home delivery and continuing follow-up. Confirm the business on the receipt and patient portal before comparing prices, because the other brand’s membership and refund rules do not establish the terms of this service.

The monthly-looking amount can be a quarterly charge

The semaglutide selection shows $129 a month with $387 collected every three months. It advertises no membership fee and says medication, supplies, virtual consultation and shipping are included. That selection is a prepaid term, not three separate $129 installments. Ask for the selected duration and next renewal total before paying, and compare like-for-like supply periods. A different medication or pharmacy option on the same website should not be assumed to have identical pricing.

Payment is authorized before clinical approval

The refund policy says checkout places a temporary authorization hold, with payment captured only after a provider approves treatment. If the clinician finds treatment inappropriate, the treatment charge is not captured and the hold is released according to bank timing. This describes payment handling, not a guarantee of a prescription. Keep the approval and payment notices so you can distinguish a pending hold from a completed charge when checking your statement.

Fulfillment ends the normal cancellation window

Once the pharmacy fills the prescription, the order generally cannot be canceled, changed, returned or refunded. Before filling, a cancellation request may be considered, with a possible $25 consultation deduction if the consultation occurred. Submitting the request does not guarantee that fulfillment can be stopped. The policy also says an approval notification does not create an extra cancellation window. Review the product, formulation, quantity and address before completing intake rather than relying on changing them afterward.

Stop renewals before the deadline

Plans renew automatically, and the policy requires pausing or canceling at least 48 hours before renewal. Cancellation of future billing does not refund a filled order or unused medication. The policy specifically excludes refunds for treatment intolerance or side effects after fulfillment, even when the patient cannot continue. That financial restriction is separate from the need to contact the clinical team for care. Consider the prepaid commitment with that limitation in mind.

Check deliveries and pharmacy changes

Report damaged, wrong or compromised items within 48 hours and retain the vial, supplies, packaging, cold packs and prescription label for review. A report does not automatically guarantee a remedy. The policy says pharmacies may change when availability changes and that patients will be informed if fulfillment is affected. Obtain the assigned dispenser and follow its handling instructions. Advertised overnight shipping describes the delivery service after processing; it is not a guarantee that an initial assessment produces next-day medication.
