Noom review
Which Noom program are you comparing?
Noom Med combines an app-based behavior program with access to independent prescribing clinicians. Its published programs describe semaglutide routes including branded Wegovy and Ozempic, plus a compounded semaglutide pathway. The branded catalog also lists the Wegovy pill. These are different products and payment arrangements, not interchangeable versions of one offer. The Plus program name is another distinction to watch: its medication is tirzepatide, not semaglutide. Start by asking which exact program and product the clinician is considering for you.
Separate the subscription from the prescription
Some Noom programs bundle medication, clinical care and the digital program. Telehealth for Branded Meds instead charges for the program while the medicine is paid for separately. Introductory offers do not describe the ongoing commitment, and several ongoing prices are presented as monthly amounts billed quarterly. Indexed copies of Noom’s pricing and standard-program pages show different ongoing figures, which may reflect different offers or capture dates. Obtain the actual initial charge, first renewal total, period covered and medication cost before deciding; this review does not treat the lowest advertised figure as a continuing monthly bill.
Care happens through the app
The process begins with a health intake and clinician assessment. The branded program describes chat-based care, with live appointments required in some versions, and distinguishes the clinician from care coordinators and coaches. Clinical questions belong with the prescribing team; a coach is a different role. Noom’s help material advertises clinician replies usually within thirty-six hours, which is a service target rather than a response time tested for this review. Ask what follow-up is included and how to escalate an unanswered message.
Pharmacy and lab arrangements depend on the route
For cash-pay branded Wegovy, Noom names the NovoCare network and fulfillment partners CoAssist and CenterWell. Insurance prescriptions can go to a preferred local or online pharmacy. A universal compounding pharmacy name was not established from the reviewed material; ask who will dispense your specific prescription and how to obtain its information. Labs need a separate check too: the medication-included help page describes potential out-of-pocket costs in New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island, or when using an independent lab.
Cancellation and refunds are different decisions
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Noom describes cancellation through the app or subscription portal; subscriptions bought through an app store must be managed there. Deleting the app does not stop billing. Refund cutoffs differ by program: medication-included plans lose refund eligibility once a prescription is written, while branded telehealth has a separate cutoff once a clinical visit occurs. Eligible program switches may have different prorated arrangements. Ask which rule applies to your plan rather than assuming that Noom Weight’s refund window covers a medication subscription.
What to confirm before joining
Confirm your location, product and clinical eligibility before selecting a payment option. Check whether the specific program serves your state; availability for a different medicine does not settle availability for yours. Noom combines medication access with a behavioral app. Whether that combination suits you depends on the care, pharmacy and billing arrangement offered, rather than an outcome claim or an introductory price alone.
